THE PRINCE AT THE POLICE BARRACKS. H.R.H. the Duke of Edinburgh on 30th Jan. visited the Police Barracks at Richmond. He also inspected the stores and stables, and saw the riding masters exercising. Here a most interesting scene occurred, which is represented by drawing above. Two wild colts, which had been specially reserved for the purpose, were caught, tackled, and mounted by the rough riders, when some very spirited, buck -jumping took place. The Prince seemed rather astonished at the coolness with which the rider kept his seat on the most determined buckjumper of the two.
